Written by on September 14, 2020

Where were you born?

I was born in El Dorado, Kansas in the Winter of 75

Who got you started in loving Rock and Metal Music?

I remember I was 13 going on 14 and my parents took me to Bon Jovi and Skid Row opened up for them. It was the first time I heard a cuss word at a show and I was hooked from then on.

What was your first Concert?  Where was it at and who went with you?

My parents took me to tons of shows but the one I remembered the most was the Jackson Victory Tour. I was 9 years old and I had the biggest crush on Michael Jackson. I remember the crowd. I remember how I felt even when I heard the first 2 notes of “Thriller!” It was such a cool, iconic show to go to.

What made you start doing a Radio Show?

I remember my husband and I were talking one day about how radio stations played the same song over and over and over. We talked about how we would love to do a radio show and play the music that we knew that people would love. I had a friend who was on the Rock Rage Radio Street Team and I was interested in the prospect of being able to help the bands I love. I was on the team a year before John Kunz finally convinced me I was good enough to do a show! Now, I can’t see myself doing anything else!

What Five Bands have you discovered since hosting a radio show and have turned you into a Fan?

Saul, Ded, The Endless Line, Vyces and Code Red Riot. I have tons more but these are the ones who popped up first. This was the hardest question.

What do you miss most about not having live concerts in 2020?

Discovering new bands. Screaming at the top of my lungs! Getting pushed into oblivion. I miss my tribe. I miss hearing the crowd sing the one song everyone knows. I really miss buying shirts from bands who have traveled many miles to play to a group of 50 people and they are pouring out their heart and souls! I miss live music!

What is your perfect after Concert Meal?

It’s usually just a quick drive through to McDonald’s. I will buy the biggest drink and drink it down in 5 minutes.

If a movie was made about your life, who would star as you?

Cyndi Lauper, even though I always thought I would play her in a movie.

What is your Favorite Movie of all time?

The Lost Boys

If you were selected to be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, who would be your presenter and why?

Norman Matthew from As Strange As Angels because he has always believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. We both have gone through struggles of doubt but we have always been each other’s cheerleader. He would be cool, suave and if he sang his presentation I would cry the happiest tears ever.

What is the single most embarrassing moment of your life?

It happens a lot. I cry when I am pissed off. I hate it because I hate people feeling sorry for me. So every embarrassing moment was me crying.
