Carolina Rebellion 2018 Highlight’s

10 May 2018 Festivals News Review

RRR took over Carolina this past weekend for the 8th annual Carolina Rebellion festival. See the stacked lineup below:

Friday’s Highlights included: The Zippo acoustic stage with acts like: Underoath, Stone Sour,  and Pop Evil! All acts just simply extraordinary to see in the small acoustic setting. Later during Stone Sour’s main stage appearance front man Corey Taylor injured his leg, and limped around stage. He did leave for a few minutes a couple of times during the set leaving the crowd to wonder if he was going to be able to continue.

Saturday  kicked into high gear when the Butcher Babies went to break the all time record for most crowd surfers in a set. Did they break it? We are not sure, be we do know it had to be close! That stage was getting pretty crazy. Other highlights from Joyous Wolf‘s backflips on stage to Shinedown‘s epic laser stage performance made Saturday simply unforgettable.  The eye catching sea of people and the heart skipping breakdowns of Hatebreed echoing throughout the area was like no other experience. It’s important to experience it at least once in a lifetime. Mere words cannot describe how amazing it was, from the 9 year old up front with a 12 inch rainbow mohawk to the Pit Crew making sure everyone in the pit followed the rules.  Beginning to end was insane.

Sunday got out of hand with The Fever 333 as they absolutely destroyed the stage! They really should have been bumped up to main stage in our opinion as the crowd went clear back to the merch booth, definitely a band to watch in 2018! Cane Hill, The Bronx, and Red Fang along with the other great talents ALL put on one hell of a performance. Couldn’t think of better ways to end off the weekend.
