Welcome to Rockville off to the Races!

Festival Season is upon us with the Mammoth Rock Festival Welcome to Rockville!   Every Spring Florida is the home of one of the Biggest and Baddest Rock Festivals in the World and this year promises to be even Bigger!

With record high temperatures expected for the first day of the 4 day Welcome to Rockville music festival… fans, artists and support staff did not let the heat affect them, and delivered an Amazing First Day of Welcome to Rockville.  I am thankful for the well thought out improvements throughout the festival including lots of shade, cooling tent, fake grass and even the bartenders joined in keeping you comfortable and cool by squirting you with water as you walked by.  The record high temperatures didn’t deter an upbeat crowd, and Mother Nature smiled on us and gave us a beautiful day, light breeze with a night that was simply gorgeous.

Fans were everywhere finding refuge from the heat but they appeared completely undeterred as they enjoyed a cornucopia of bands that fit everyone’s tastebuds (Judas Priest, Anthrax, Bad Wolves, Lacy Sturn, Biohazard, ICP, country singer Anne Wilson joining Disturbed on stage, and more. Today I spent a lot of time backstage with some new bands and old friends, you should check them out these amazing artists Imperial Tide, August Burns Red, New Years Day, Saliva, Point North, TX2, Moon Fever, Butcher Babies, Skillet, Until I Wake, and Fuming Mouth.

One of the favorite things that we love about DWP Presents festivals is the way they embrace local and national charities.  We always love to stop by and say hi to them and give our audience a chance to hear what the message they are trying to get out to the fans of Rockville!

Stay hydrated, come early, stay late, listen to new bands, find shade and try the Adult Happy Meal at the Blackened tent and have an Amazing Day. One BIG family is converging in Daytona, Florida at the Daytona International Speedway – for the love of MUSIC, and with festivals like Welcome to Rockville, our family unit will continue to grow!!
