No Self ‘Human-Cyborg Relations: Episode 1’

A dash of Deftones, a pinch of P.O.D., a whole lot of nu-metal originality, and ample guitar/bass riffs, what kind of musical, melting post of mayhem do you get? You get the band, No Self’s album ‘Human-Cyborg Relations: Episode 1’. The band recently signed a worldwide distribution deal with Zombie Shark Records, the new record label from Noah “Shark” Robertson. The label features heavy hitters, Motograter and The Browning.
No Self is heavily influenced by bands like Deftones, Spineshank, Adema, Nothingface, and Korn, which shine through in their album. The album begins with the song “Casting Stones”, which is heavy core guitars, slight electronica, and heavy bass guitars. Slightly slow it down, however only to the level of a nu-metal rock ballad driven by speed metal guitar riffs, is the song, “Save Me”. One of the heaviest songs on the album is the song “Through Your Eyes”. Catchy choruses and massively emotionally driven lyrics are what construct to be one of the top songs on the album.
Noah Robertson as stated “NoSelf are poised to be the next big thing in Mainstream Rock. This band is going to take the Zombie Shark Records label and the Nu Metal genre to a whole new level. Simply put. The gloves are off.” and quite truthfully, I have to agree. The guitars (electric and most certainly) alone make this album a winner in the genre of new nu-metal. However, the album is the complete package of new era rock music, which will draw in the melting pot of rock fans from every rock genre across the board.
‘Human-Cyborg Relations Episode 1’ is available online at www.zombieshark.net and everywhere else music is sold.
