Venom Inc is:
Tony ‘The Demolition Man’ Dolan – Bass/Vocals
Jeff ‘Mantas’ Dunn – Guitar
Jeramie ‘ Warmachine’ Kling – Drums

Laura:
What genre of music do you consider Venom Inc to be?

Venom Inc:
Heavy metal. (all styles included)

Laura:
What’s the ultimate direction for your band?

Venom Inc:
Straight up and straight on, ever forward.

Laura:
How would you describe your music making process?

Venom Inc:
Accumulative. We write separately and together. Then we come together as a band to discuss and perform. We record in our own places then exchange music files via the internet. Ultimately we come to one place to record the final versions for album where we also mix and master the tracks.

Tony lives in London UK, Jeff in Tomar, Portugal and Jeramy in Florida, USA, so using the internet for exchanging ideas and recording demos versions of ideas is embraced and vital to us. Inspiration for the music comes from years of experience and identity of knowing who we are as a band and musicians and exploring that further.

Lyrically we draw from many sources of course but mainly mankind and it’s darker side.

Laura:
Why call the band, “Venom Inc?”

Venom Inc:
We were known more famously as Venom, although we had many other successful projects. There was a period of time where this lineup was regarded as a leader. That was one of the reasons we decided to use the name Venom but to distinguish ourselves from what we were and what we are, incorporating everything musically we have done in between times, we chose to call ourselves Venom Incorporated. Meaning, we embrace ALL of our musical heritage and legacy, hence the abbreviation for simplicity, VENOM INC.

Laura:
What should fans expect to experience at a show?

Venom Inc:
%100 energy!

We embrace the fans and use their energy to push us on. In return we give our all to them and hence we all become one experience. Fans can expect to be excited and to feel free to let themselves go and express however they feel. We are not a sit down and watch band. We are more of a get off your ass and lose your mind to it all band. Sing along, scream, shout, bang you head, whatever you feel. We are ultimately expressive and our fans can be just as we are live. Powerful, heavy and very loud! We let the energy and power flow for the best experience.

Laura:
Typical question here. Who has influenced you the most via music?

Venom Inc:
I think for Tony obviously, Motorhead. The attitude, rawness and uncompromising sound along with the style.

Jeff’s influence is Judas Priest. From his long, blonde, KK Downing hair and attire back in the day, to the huge metal sound they produce, with a very harmonious melodic touch too. Also, sing along anthems, what’s not to like? That inspired him.

For Mr. Kling? All styles and all kinds. He is inspired by heavy styles of music full stop. Raised on metal bands, he just feeds off the energy and excitement he feels when the music plays.

Laura:
How can fans and future fans locate, listen to and buy your music?

Venom Inc:
We are on Nuclear Blast Records. We can be found there. One can also purchase our music.

Laura:
Is there anything else you would like your fans to know?

Venom Inc:
That we are grateful for almost 40 years of support in all our endeavors. THEY are the reason we do this. We have the greatest respect for them and feel humbled to be in the privileged position to make music, to tour, and to share wth those fans.

Laura:
What’s coming up next for Venom Inc?

Venom Inc:
We are currently recording the new album during this forced lockdown so we’re using this time wisely. It will be released in 2020 and we will resume touring, we hope in 2021. Asia, Australia and New Zealand first up. Followed by festivals rescheduled from this year and an European and North American tour with some South American dates planned for 2021 already.

Busy times to come following the new album and the world post Corona outbreak.
