(February 22, 2023, Nashville, TN) Scott Bartlett, best known as lead guitarist for multi-platinum Southern Rock band Saving Abel and Grammy nominated artist Rick Monroe of Rick Monroe and The Hitmen team up for the anticipated “Tequila and Whiskey” Tour.
Backed by powerhouse sponsors Monster Energy, Number Juan Tequila, Hy-Vee, and Tony Chachere’s, The Mad Souls, are offering up a unique and intimate acoustic experience to their fans. Bartlett highlights his solo singles, “Wild Eyes” and “Sweeter Than Whiskey” and Monroe pulls selections like their upcoming single “Looking” and the popular, “This Side of You”. Show goers can also expect to hear a few favorites from Saving Abel’s multi-decade spanning catalog as well, which Bartlett had a hand in creating.
The pair, along with Hitmen member, Alan Beeler kicked off their first two nights with packed rooms in Oklahoma. David Wood, owner of Mill Street Tavern in Ardmore says, “Pure Rock-n-Roll Soul! Oh man, the harmonies, the guitar riffs, the stories, and not to mention two of the nicest dudes in the business. An experience like The Mad Souls is the reason I bring live music to my joint. It doesn’t get much better than this!”
The tour moves through several Kansas dates, highlighted by an event with the USO at Ft. Riley where they will assist Doug Chachere from Tony Chachere’s Seasonings with a cookout event and a special performance for the troops. Several Texas dates follow, and the run finishes with fellow Saving Abel bandmate Scott Wilson joining the trio at his home venue in Colorado Springs on March 10th.
